Becky grew up in the St. Louis area and spent her weekends and summers on the family Black Angus cattle farm, meaning she can drive a tractor, is not afraid of mice, and LOVES St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She attended college at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and double- majored in learning disabilities and socio/emotional disorders. After graduation, she taught 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies for Peoria District 150.
Becky moved to Boulder in 1995, when her husband took a job with Storage Tek. She worked for Jeffco Schools in the Colorado Preschool Project for a year and then spent 3 years as a 6th/7th/8th grade interventionist for Aurora Public Schools. When her 3 boys began arriving she decided to give up the commute and spend some time at home with them.
Becky has been been at Hillside for 7 years. In her free time she reads, runs, knits, and watches her boys play baseball. She also runs the Challenger Baseball Program. Challengers provides a safe, noncompetitive baseball experience for kids with physical, intellectual, or emotional difficulties in the Northwest Metro area.
