Expanded Evaluation Services at Hillside’s Center for Dyslexia
The Zarlengo Foundation’s Learning Evaluation Center (LEC) is expanding to Boulder with a new location at Hillside School & Center for Dyslexia. This expansion increases access to comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluations for neurodiverse children and young adults across the Front Range.
Founded in 2016, the Learning Evaluation Center focuses on understanding the whole child—their strengths, learning profile, and support needs—so families and educators can move forward with clarity and confidence. This partnership reflects Hillside’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the full ecosystem of support available through the Center for Dyslexia.

A Comprehensive, Collaborative Evaluation Approach
Evaluations are conducted by a multidisciplinary team that may include licensed psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. Rather than separate reports from multiple providers, findings are integrated into one clear, cohesive report designed to reduce confusion and support informed decision-making.
Families can expect:
-
Individualized evaluations tailored to school, home, and social contexts
-
Clear, actionable recommendations for caregivers and educators
-
Guidance to support IEPs, 504 plans, and gifted or twice-exceptional (2e) learners
-
A strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming process
Why This Matters at Hillside
Hillside’s nationally recognized expertise in dyslexia makes it a natural home for expanded evaluation services. Bringing the Learning Evaluation Center to Hillside:
-
Expands access for Boulder-area families
-
Strengthens collaboration between evaluators, schools, and educators
-
Supports the continued growth of Hillside’s Center for Dyslexia and community outreach
Early identification and intervention can change a child’s trajectory academically, emotionally, and socially. This expansion allows Hillside to help more families gain clarity earlier and connect with the right supports sooner.
