Introducing: Kathy’s Office Hours

Kathy’s Office Hours offer families a free, one-on-one opportunity to speak directly with Kathy Sherman, Co-Founder of Hillside School & Center for Dyslexia and a longtime leader in dyslexia education.

These informal consultations are designed for parents and caregivers who have questions about dyslexia or broader learning concerns. Whether you are just beginning to notice signs, trying to make sense of an evaluation, or feeling unsure about next steps, Kathy’s Office Hours provide a safe, supportive space to ask questions and gain clarity.

Consultations may be virtual or in person and are designed to meet families wherever they are in their learning journey. Topics may include:

✔ General questions about learning differences

✔ Early signs and indicators of dyslexia

✔ Reading, writing, or math concerns

✔ Understanding evaluations or school feedback

✔ Available resources and support options

✔ Possible next steps for families exploring support

There is no cost and no obligation. The goal is simply to help families feel informed, supported, and less alone as they navigate questions about their child’s learning. Kathy’s Office Hours reflect Hillside’s commitment to early understanding, thoughtful guidance, and meeting families exactly where they are.
