Hillside School, provides specialized instruction in reading, writing, and math for students in grades 1-12 in a supportive environment. We enable students with dyslexia and other learning differences to reach their academic potential and become capable and confident learners.
“The small class size was helpful for lowering my son’s shame about dyslexia.”
— Amy R., Hillside parent
Class Size and Enrollment
A maximum of four students per class allows close student-teacher interaction, individualized instruction, and a supportive community of learners. During the 2021-2022 school year, 80 students will be enrolled in first through ninth grades.
What We Teach
Reading, writing, and math are taught for 50 minutes each day. Please see Our Program for detailed information.
Working with your child’s public or private school
Hillside teachers contact your child’s classroom teacher from their traditional school to share information about the Hillside program and the work your child will be doing at Hillside. The Hillside teacher will invite your child’s teacher(s) to communicate throughout the year regarding the learning needs of your child.
