Arrival and Departure

Pre-arrival Symptom Check

Prior to departing each morning from home, each student is required to complete a symptom check that will be supplied via web or app from Hillside. If the student does not have any symptoms that are flagged by the system, he/she will be allowed to come to Hillside that day. If a symptom flags a student, please keep that student home and call Hillside for instructions. *Please fill this out even if your child is staying home sick, so we can track symptom data in our community. *

Arrival

When students arrive, they will need to wait outside of the entrance, six-feet apart, or in their car while an administrator checks each student’s temperature. Parents, please do not depart until you see your child has been allowed to enter the school.

All parents should wear masks when dropping off their children and respect social distancing requirements with one another if out of their car. At this time, parents/caretakers are not allowed inside of the building.

Departure

Students will depart from assigned exits and will be picked up at either Hillside’s parking lot, or next door in the church’s parking lot. Please reference the below map for more information on your child’s pick-up location:

Carpools

Although strongly discouraged by the Boulder Public Health, we understand there are circumstances that make carpooling a necessity to get your child to Hillside. If you must carpool these are the guidelines we have received from the BPH:

If possible, please keep the carpool to the same cohort or class
The student who is a non-family member of the driver, should sit as far away from the adult driver as possible within the car limits.
Everyone should be masked
Weather permitting, keep windows open so fresh air can circulate within the car
